Mistral launches Medium 3.5 and remote coding agents

Mistral has released Medium 3.5 in public preview and moved coding agents into the cloud so tasks can run asynchronously. A new Work mode in Le Chat handles multi-step research and connected-tool workflows while asking for approval before sensitive actions.

Medium 3.5 is a 128-billion-parameter model with a 256k context window, released as open weights under a modified MIT licence. Mistral says it now powers remote coding sessions in Vibe and a preview Work mode in Le Chat.

The cloud agents can continue while a user steps away and expose progress, tool calls and file changes for review. Mistral says sensitive actions such as sending a message or changing data require explicit approval based on the user’s permissions.
